Alexandra Maria Lara has been a Romanian/German television and film actress for over a decade. Alexandra is known for parts in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Being the sole daughter of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra began her professional career in showbiz at a young age. She was a lead actress in dramas on television as young as the age of 16. Following her highly acclaimed performance in the TV film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went on to play other noteworthy parts, including Adolf Hitler's secretary, Traudljunge, on Downfall. Downfall was nominated for an Oscar and was a critical as well as commercial great success. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex and The Reader are also Oscar-nominated films starring this stunning actress. Through the years, Alexandra has worked in several notable international and national projects. Some of these include the British Biographical Film Control Greek Drama film The Dust of Time French Historical Miniseries Napoleon as well as many other. Additionally, she was a member of both jury for the Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
